The Fifth Annual High Energy Laser (HEL) Lethality Conference assembled scientists and engineers interested in High Energy Laser (HEL) weapon lethality. The HEL Lethality Conference objectives were:

(1) to use the forum as a means to inform the HEL community and potential HEL Weapons implementers of the latest findings regarding lethality work, and (2) to continue to cultivate synergism between the HEL communities to effectively transition Directed Energy Weapons to the warfighter.

  • Attendance at all sessions is limited to U.S. citizens with a classified visit request on file and who are employees of the U.S. government or its contractors.

The HEL Lethality Conference plans to issue a proceeding that will consist of papers only (formal manuscripts, not presentations or posters) that have been released by a sponsoring government agency and have proper classification markings. Based on prior year experience this proceedings will be classified Secret/NOFORN and will be limited distribution D.
