DIRECTED ENERGY PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY Directed Energy Effects Mitigation Conference 2009 6-10 April 2009 Monterey, California The mitigation of the effects of directed energy is an active area of research and development. All mechanisms for protecting systems and personnel from high energy laser (HEL) and high power microwave (HPM) attack are within the scope of this conference. The Second Directed Energy (DE) Effects Mitigation Conference will be held at the Naval Postgraduate School, in Monterey, CA during 6-10 April 2009 as a part of the DE Systems Symposium. A goal of this year’s conference is to enhance technical excellence while providing a forum to encourage interaction with other members of the DE community. To that end, presentations will screened for new and innovative work.
